Bahamas Billfish Championship 
Harbour Island will be hosting the 2nd leg of the Bahamas Billfish Championship this year. Entering its
thirty-fifth year in 2008, the Bahamas Billfish Championship has grown to a world class tournament-fishing series that takes place in the Bahama Out
Islands. The 2007 series saw more than 150 teams join the Championship, which provided a venue for the boat manufacturers and suppliers to showcase a fleet of top-of-the line vessels cruising the Bahamian waters for 12 weeks.
The Bahamas Billfish Championship has taken place annually since its first season in 1973. Spanning April through June, all Championship tournaments are governed by a uniform set of rules controlling minimum lengths for qualifying billfish, line class, fishing hours and entry fees.
